Healthy Choices

Food Net is working in partnership with Birmingham City Council’s Environmental Health Team to encourage and support as many independent food outlets as possible to offer and promote some healthy options to customers by taking part in the Healthy Choices Award Scheme.

Participating businesses can achieve one of four levels of the Award. Look out for one of the following window stickers to see if your local food outlet has got involved in the Scheme:

Change 4 Life Convenience Stores

Food Net are working with 60 local convenience stores across Birmingham to support customers to make healthy choices easier choices.

Look out for Change 4 Life branding and promotions which highlight the availability of fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables.

Food Net are also encouraging local stores to register to be part of the Healthy Start Scheme so that customers can use their vouchers in exchange for fruit and vegetables as part of their 5-a-day.

     

Food Net will also be promoting how you can use Healthy Start vouchers in exchange for fruit and vegetables in Healthy Living pharmacies across Birmingham.

Look out for the postcards and help spread the word.
