Cooking With Your Kids
'Cooking with
your Kids’ is
Food Net’s
exciting programme being enthusiastically received by primary schools in the
Birmingham area. This programme offers parents and children the opportunity to
cook and learn together, whilst having fun.
Selected Primary Schools are being given the opportunity to host this innovative
programme, which is run by one of our fully trained Food Health Advisors, free
of charge over a five week period during term time.
Each session lasts for a fun-packed 90 minutes; parents and children are given
the opportunity to choose the meals they want to cook and taste, whilst also
engaging in nutrition-based interactive games. Topics include; top tips on how
to include more fruit and vegetables in their families’ diet, whilst also
reducing their fat and sugar intake, how to eat a balanced diet and the
importance of eating 5-A-Day, to name just a few.

Food Net is currently not offering Cook and Taste courses to community groups in
Birmingham.
