Cooking With Your Kids

'Cooking with your Kids’ is Food Net’s exciting programme being enthusiastically received by primary schools in the Birmingham area. This programme offers parents and children the opportunity to cook and learn together, whilst having fun.

Selected Primary Schools are being given the opportunity to host this innovative programme, which is run by one of our fully trained Food Health Advisors, free of charge over a five week period during term time.

Each session lasts for a fun-packed 90 minutes; parents and children are given the opportunity to choose the meals they want to cook and taste, whilst also engaging in nutrition-based interactive games. Topics include; top tips on how to include more fruit and vegetables in their families’ diet, whilst also reducing their fat and sugar intake, how to eat a balanced diet and the importance of eating 5-A-Day, to name just a few.
